  • Resealable Bag

Ingredients

Marinade Base

  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup

Spices & Herbs

  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper freshly ground

Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, and honey to create the marinade base.
  • Add minced garlic, chopped cilantro, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy with tortillas, rice, or a fresh salad.

Notes

Feel free to customize the marinade by adding orange juice for a sweeter tang, jalapeños for heat, or chipotle in adobo for a smoky depth.
