Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • ½ cup Nutella or any hazelnut spread
  • ¼ cup chopped hazelnuts optional, for crunch
  • 1 egg beaten with a splash of water for egg wash

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  • Spread an even layer of Nutella across the entire surface of the pastry.
  • Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts over the Nutella, if using.
  • Carefully roll the pastry from one long side to the other to form a tight log.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 1-inch pinwheels.
  • Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  • Brush each pinwheel with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm for the best texture!

Notes

For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the baked pinwheels before serving.
