Equipment

  • Kitchen Shears
  • Baking Sheet
  • Basting Brush
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Lobster Tails & Butter Sauce

  • 4 lobster tails cold-water preferred
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to broil (500°F / 260°C) and position the rack in the center.
  • Butterfly the lobster tails: Using kitchen shears, cut a straight line through the top of the shell, stopping at the tail fin. Gently pull the shell apart and lift the meat, resting it on top while keeping it attached at the base.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush the butter mixture generously over the lobster meat.
  • Broil for 8–10 minutes, basting with more butter halfway through cooking, until the meat turns opaque and slightly golden.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with extra lemon wedges.

Notes

For a grilled version, cook over medium-high heat for 5–7 minutes per side. Pair with garlic butter asparagus or mashed potatoes for a full meal.
