Equipment

  • Large Pan
  • Whisk

Ingredients

Alfredo Sauce Base

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • pinch nutmeg optional
  • fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat, being careful not to let it brown.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Let it simmer (not boil) for 2-3 minutes.
  • Lower the heat to medium-low and gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  • Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg (if using). Stir well to combine.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of warm milk to adjust consistency. Remove from heat and let it sit for a minute.
  • Serve over pasta, grilled chicken, or seafood. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!

Notes

If your Alfredo sauce is too thick, add a splash of warm milk to adjust the consistency. Avoid high heat to prevent separation.
