Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pastry Brush
  • Parchment paper
  • Small Saucepan

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits 8 pieces
  • 12 oz thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish optional for heat

Au Jus Dipping Sauce

  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix 1 oz
  • 1 cup water as per gravy mix instructions

Topping

  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Flatten each biscuit using your hands or a rolling pin to create a thin round shape.
  • Spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each biscuit. Layer roast beef and a slice of provolone cheese in the center.
  • Fold the edges over the filling and pinch them together to seal. Place the biscuits seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder for a golden, crispy crust.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • While the biscuits bake, prepare the au jus according to package instructions.
  • Serve hot with warm au jus for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, opt for buttermilk biscuits over standard refrigerated dough. If you like a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños inside the biscuits or use pepper jack cheese instead of provolone.
