Ingredients
  

Breakfast in Bread Base

  • 1 large bread roll or small sourdough loaf hollowed out
  • 2 large eggs can be whole or whisked
  • ½ cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend
  • ½ cup cooked beef bacon or turkey sausage chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter for extra crispiness
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs parsley or chives
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • red pepper flakes optional for spice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut off the top of the bread and carefully hollow out the inside, leaving about half an inch of bread on the sides.
  • Spread butter inside the hollowed-out bread for extra flavor and crispiness.
  • Layer the bottom with shredded cheese and chopped beef bacon or turkey sausage.
  • Crack the eggs directly into the bread cavity, keeping them whole for a runny yolk or whisking them if you prefer scrambled eggs.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your liking.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately!

Notes

For variations, try adding feta cheese and olives for a Mediterranean twist, or switch to a sweet version with Nutella and banana!
