A simple, moist, and delicious banana bread recipe using just 2 bananas. Perfect for small batches, this recipe is easy to make and packed with flavor.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Stir in the sugar, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
If using, gently fold in chocolate chips or chopped walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For added flavor, try adding cinnamon, nutmeg, or a drizzle of honey. This banana bread can also be turned into muffins by baking in a muffin tin at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
