Ingredients

Base Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning

Toppings

  • 1 cup guacamole
  • ¾ cup salsa mild, medium, or spicy
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Mexican blend works great
  • ¼ cup corn kernels optional, but adds a sweet crunch
  • ½ cup chopped bell peppers
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives for garnish
  • chopped cilantro for garnish
  • tortilla chips for dipping

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with taco seasoning. Use a spatula to mix until smooth and well blended.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the bottom of a serving platter or glass dish.
  • Carefully spread a layer of guacamole over the cream cheese base.
  • Spoon the salsa over the guacamole, spreading it evenly without mixing the layers.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the salsa layer.
  • Add your chopped bell peppers, corn, olives, and cilantro on top for that burst of color and freshness.
  • Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!

Notes

Want a protein-packed version? Add a layer of cooked halal ground beef or shredded chicken after the cream cheese layer. Looking for more spice? Use a hot salsa and add diced jalapeños. Making it vegan? Substitute cream cheese with a plant-based alternative and use dairy-free shredded cheese.
